Calm Through Change: Grace in the Waiting

There is a space I’ve been sitting in lately.

Not fully where I was…
but not quite where I’m going either.

And if I’m being honest,
this space has required more from me than I expected.

Because transition doesn’t always feel like movement.
Sometimes, it feels like waiting.

What Still Feels Aligned

Earlier this week, I asked myself a simple question:
What still feels aligned for me right now?

Not what makes sense on paper.
Not what feels safe.
Not even what feels easy.

But what feels true.

And the truth is…
Even in the middle of uncertainty, I still feel aligned with purpose.

I still feel aligned with the work I’ve been called to do.
I still feel aligned with the vision I carry.
I still feel aligned with becoming.

That alignment has been my anchor.

Because when everything around you feels like it’s shifting, alignment reminds you that you are not lost.

Holding Hope and Fear at the Same Time

This week also reminded me of something I think we don’t talk about enough:

You can feel hopeful…
and uncertain…
at the same time.

You can be walking toward something new
and still feel the weight of “what if.”

And that doesn’t make you weak.

It makes you aware.
It makes you human.

There were moments this week where I felt excitement…
and moments where I felt doubt trying to creep in.

But I didn’t fight it.

I acknowledged both.

Because growth isn’t about eliminating fear, it’s about not letting it lead.

The Waiting Space

Waiting has a way of stretching you.

It tests your patience.
It challenges your trust.
It asks you to sit still when everything in you wants to move.

And I’ve had to remind myself:

Waiting is not punishment.
Waiting is preparation.

Something is being aligned.
Something is being positioned.
Something is being worked out, whether I can see it or not.

And in this space, I’ve had to choose grace.

Grace with myself.
Grace with the process.
Grace with the timing.

What I’m Holding On To

If I had to name one thing I’m holding onto this week, it’s this:

What is meant for me will not pass me.

Even when doors feel uncertain.
Even when outcomes aren’t clear.
Even when fear tries to speak louder than faith.

What is mine…
will find me.

And what is not…
was never meant to stay.

That doesn’t mean the waiting is easy.
But it does mean I don’t have to force what’s already being guided.

Closing Reflection

So if you find yourself in a space like this…
in between what was and what could be…

Take a breath.

You are not behind.
You are not stuck.
You are not off track.

You are in transition.

And transition requires something we don’t always talk about enough:

Grace…

“Thank you for taking a moment to pause with me.”
