The Meaning Behind SILWELL-C & the Logo

Digital artwork of the Belize Black Orchid with vivid blue and green petals, elongated leaves, and a black background.

SILWELL-C stands for Staff-Inspired Leadership for Wellness & Calm, a name that reflects our belief that lasting workplace wellness begins within the team. Our logo proudly features the Belize National Flower, the Black Orchid, honoring the heritage of our founder, Dr. Cynthia Skyers-Gordon, who was born in Belize.

The Black Orchid is known for its rare beauty, graceful form, and calming presence, qualities that mirror the mission of SILWELL-C. Just as the orchid thrives in harmony with its environment, our approach helps teams cultivate calm, strengthen connections, and nurture well-being that is both sustainable and deeply rooted.

This emblem is more than a design; it’s a symbol of cultural pride, resilience, and the transformative power of calm in every workplace.

Founder’s Note

"I’ve seen firsthand how a committed, empowered team can transform a workplace. SILWELL-C is my way of equipping educators and staff with the tools, support, and confidence they need to feel valued, and to lead wellness for themselves and those they serve."
