Why I Wrote I Love Being a Belizean!

Why did I write I Love Being a Belizean!? 💛🌎 I wrote this book to help children feel proud of who they are, where they come from, and the uniqueness they bring into the world. Representation matters. Identity matters. Every child deserves stories that help them feel seen, valued, celebrated, and connected to their culture and identity. In this video, I share the heart behind I Love Being a Belizean! and why building children’s confidence, cultural pride, self-esteem, and comfortability with their uniqueness is so important. Whether it is their hair texture, skin color, language, traditions, personality, or the way they express themselves, children deserve to know that what makes them different also makes them powerful. Our uniqueness brings color to the world. ✨ Thank you for supporting diverse children’s literature, social-emotional learning, and culturally meaningful stories for children and families. #ILoveBeingABelizean #BelizeanAuthor #ChildrensBooks #RepresentationMatters #DiverseBooks #CulturalIdentity #SelfEsteemForChildren #SocialEmotionalLearning #EarlyChildhoodEducation #Belize #DiversityInBooks #IdentityMatters #InclusiveEducation #SEL #CynthiaSkyersGordon
